Some admitted students’ stats have been intimidating for me. I just submitted my ED1 application and am second guessing whether or not I will get in. If you have the time, I’d appreciate it if you’d take a glance at my stats and tell me what you think my chances are.

liwnoc- first off, congratulations! That’s a very impressive resume and a very busy schedule!
Will you get in? No idea. Basically, from what I hear about college admissions at top-level schools these days, it’s a year by year question of how the cookie crumbles, chips fall, etc.
Do you have a decent shot? Absolutely. You have a great and well rounded academic record with good test scores (you’re inside the 25th and 75th percentiles on SATs). Plus, while it is a private school, Bowdoin definitely makes an effort to recruit heavily from Maine, arguably more so than either Colby or Bates.
Make sure you find some other schools that would be good fits for you as well as Bowdoin, but don’t let anyone dissuade you from applying to Bowdoin because you don’t have a decent shot, because they would be wrong.
Thank you Perseus1986 for the feedback and encouragement! I have found some other schools to apply to in case Bowdoin doesn’t pan out that would be amazing to attend as well.
And to answer your question, kittykat1600, I go to Bangor High School. We’re mostly known for our amazing debate team right now but I’m trying my best to revitalize the speech team!
