I am an international applicant from India. I am looking to do economics and math at BU. The thing is that I can’t afford to pay for college as its very expensive. But I badly want to study in US because it gives me the flexibility to choose what I want to study and also gives me so many opportunities which are just not possible to even think of here in India.

School scores- They aren’t that great
SAT scores- 1930 (630W 650M 660CR) I’ll be giving it again in Jan
Subject tests- 660WH 660M2 700PHY

I don’t have that great academic record, but its my ECs that I seem to banking on-
1.Research in economics- I managed to publish a paper compiling all the work that I had done. It was on the oil industry.
2. Community service
3. Math for Fun- Some people and me had established a society where we used to teach underprivileged kids (this EC for some reason didn’t appear on the BU that I submitted. Is there anyway to notify BU about this?)
4. Space Camp- I had attended Space Camp when I was in 10th grade (even this is missing from the app)

Essays-
All three of my essays were very good
- In the “Why BU” one I talked about the professors from various fields like Glashow and Wiesel. I also talked about the culture of Boston as well…
- In the main essay I talked about how the multicultural nature of BU is helpful to me.
- In the Trustee essay I ended up talking about how an external intervention is necessary in cases like Libya and Syria etc.

I am not looking for someone to “chance” me or say whether BU is a reach for me or no.
I just want an honest opinion about whether I have any shot for the Trustee scholarship…

Thanks for your time!
