<p>So Boston University is on my list of colleges and I was looking through their website and deadline list and there was this thing about their Trustee Scholarship.</p>
<p>Here's the link:
<a href="http://www.bu.edu/admissions/trustee/introduction.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.bu.edu/admissions/trustee/introduction.html</a></p>
<p>I'm considering applying for it and was wondering if anyone could give me any feedback on my chances/if I should bother?</p>
<p>Some stats to help:</p>
<p>GPA: 4.0 unweighted
SAT I: 800 m, 710 v, 730 w -- 2240 composite
SAT II: 730 american, 710 math i, ...630 physics (uhh... yeah)</p>
<p>CLASSES:
One year advanced in both Math & Science.
Honors classes all years.
3 APs Junior year (American - 5, Physics B - 5, Language & Comp - 4)
4 APs Senior year (GovPol, Bio, Calc BC, French)
I was doubled up on languages at some point but I stopped taking Spanish because it got too confusing to take it along with French.</p>
<p>EXTRACURRICULARS:
Co-editor-in-chief of yearbook (was co-junior-editor last year)
Treasurer/Leadership of Model UN (lots of awards)
President of Mentoring Club (weekly program where high schoolers go to the middle school to interact with struggling middle schoolers)
Class Council (Secretary 10th grade; Treasurer 12th grade)
Student Senate all four years
Co-founder/Vice President of Desi Club (cultural club for people of the Indian subcontinent)
Volunteer at Friends of Strong weekly for 3 years
Job at Dunkin Donuts (also had a second job this summer with a Marketing Research company)</p>
<p>AWARDS:
National Merit Letter of Commendation for PSAT scores
ESSPA Gold for Overall Yearbook for 2 years (as well as other awards)
6 Model UN awards including Honorable, Outstanding, and Best Delegate
Chairperson at Hilton Model UN 2006</p>
<p>The part I'm concerned about is this:
"Trustee Scholars also have a record of volunteer service within their communities, and a proven history as leaders, both within and beyond the classroom. They have founded or participated in service organizations at the local, national, and even international levels. They have founded student clubs and distinguished themselves in the fine and performing arts, athletics, and other competitions."</p>
<p>I have leadership and some volunteering but I feel like it's not hardcore enough.</p>
<p>Feedback please!</p>
