Do I have a decent shot of getting into Lville?

I am in 8 grade now and i am applying to lawrenceville. I currently go to a good private school but i absolutely love Lawrenceville and not because of its title. It has so many clubs that I would be perfect in, the campus is beautiful, and I love the sports and their house policies.

6 grade was my first year in private school and I dont think that that would matter so much. I did horrendously in 6 grade. I improved a lot in 7 grade my lowest grade was a B and now in 8 grade I have straight As and it is a breeze for me now that I am used to it. I am preparing for the SSATs and the ISEEs. People have told me that I am a very well rounded student and I am very social. I do not think that I will have a problem in the interview because I already have a lot of things to talk about the school.

I play for a very elite soccer club and have an amazing passion for soccer. I have been on the A team for three years in a row and I am currently the captain. I am doing a computer software development club in my school and I also play for the school tennis team (have also been on the A team for three years) even though it is very rare that students make it onto the A teams in 6 grade (the first year). I have a huge passion of making it into this school. I know you cannot tell me whether I will make it into the school or not but I would like to know if I would have an advantage because I already go to a good prep school and what are the chances I have of making it. I have seen a lot of average SSAT percentiles to make it into this school but I want to know what my percentile should be and what chance I have of making it in (percent wise). Thanks a lot

Many of my friends here have scores in the mid to high 90s, and I myself received a 99%th (95-99-99), but this is by no means a prerequite for admission because I also know those who scored in the high 70s and low 80s and got in. I would say a 80+ is safe, and if you get above a 87 I wouldn’t retake.

Your upward trend in GPA certainly wouldn’t hurt you, especially if complemented by good SSATs. Your involvement in sports is also excellent. Things will, of course, boil down to your SSAT, teacher recs, interview, essays, wnd fit. Good luck, and if you have any questions regarding life at Lville, feel free to ask.

i already have pretty glowing teacher recs and i am not too nervous about the interview because i have a lot to express and i dong get nervous. and i was wondering how their soccer team is? thanks
