Comments:
While my high school GPA and SAT are low, I hope to distinguish myself with the research I am currently doing with different professors. I plan on writing my essay upon Nebraskan authors and my desire to pursue engaging research institutions. My reasons for transferring are that comparative literature is not offered as a major at UNL, and my desire to be in a vibrant and diverse campus. Do I have a feasible chance of getting into Brown as a transfer?

I really don’t know. But why did you go to a college that doesn’t have your major? Inquiring minds will want to know.

I agree with @BrownParent , but your college GPA seems great, so mayybee… your sat score is surely not going to work in your favour…

Depends on the number of empty seats, which is, year to year, a moving target. Not many kids migrate out of the Ivies after freshman year. Some figuring is done for kids going abroad for a semester or year. It also can very much depend on your major. And, do some hard looking at what the schools are about- because just focusing on research opps may not be enough.
