being a wallflower is ideal. talking in class is a sign of disrespect and will result in hazing from other students. sit quietly, and don’t even try to answer questions in class. it shows you are trying too hard. and that is the last thing you would want to do, right. It just doesn’t seem like your personality. HOWEVER if simply can’t restrain, you should do the complete opposite to set yourself apart from the rest of your classmates. do anything possible to get the attention of the teacher in challenging classes. they need to notice you for you to do well in those classes. berkeley wants engaged students.
