Do I have a shot at a competitive school? Chance me please!!!

I am going to be a high school senior. My unweighted GPA is a 95. I have taken 5 AP classes and scored 5s in English Language & composition, World History, U.S. history, psychology, and I scored a 4 in biology. My school does not offer honors. I am taking 5 AP classes my senior year.
My sat 2s are 750 in U.S. history and molecular biology and a 700 in math 1.
My sat score is a 1940, but I am retaking it, and I honestly think I will do a lot better my second time. The first time I took it as a sophomore.

My activities include prime dispatcher with local ambulance, speech & debate member, (regional champion last year), photography club (won a few local awards), youth group, volunteer at library, paid position as page at library. I also play piano.

I also was a volunteer camp counselor at Camp Smile (a summer day camp for blind children) and I had a paid position teaching religion at my church. I had a volunteer internship at my local hospital. I also currently have an internship with a local biology professor, but I mostly work with a graduate student.

My freshman and sophomore year I played varsity lacrosse and during the off season I volunteered at youth camps and clinics.

I'm worried I look unfocused, especially since I have no formal leadership positions. I'm also worried about how quitting my sport will look. Please let me know what you think!!

Leadership positions are indeed a problem. For elite colleges, they’re vastly important. Your GPA is strong and so are your AP scores. If you can’t get a leadership position at your school, try to do something independently like a small charity drive…something that shows you are driven and ambitious. If you want to get into an Ivy or a similarly competitive institution, your scores are too low. Get them a little higher and you have a good chance at BC, NYU, and GW. If you get them up a lot, you can try for a less selective Ivy like Cornell and Dartmouth.

Good luck!
