GPA: 4.0 (almost certain)
SAT 2: Biology M-710
I'll probably take 3 more; math IC, Chem and US History next year, and probably two or three more during the senior year.
AP: Euro-?

I HAVENT TAKEN THE SAT YET SO CAN ANYONE GIVE ME AN IDEA OF WHAT A GOOD SCORE WOULD BE FOR COLUMBIA? I ALSO TAKE AP EURO THIS YEAR AND IM GOING TO TAKE AP US NEXT YEAR, AND PROBABLY 6 MORE APS DURING THE SENIOR YEAR.

Yes, you need something that really stands out. Your music is good, but it's not "stand out good" - plenty of people who apply to Harvard will be at the same or have exceeded the standard you're at.

yea sry i keep posting so much, i should stop i guess.... and thx for advice too ill try to get something that stands out. maybe harvard is too hard for me....... o well thx anyway.

you guys must be disillusioning this guy on purpose. His musical achievements are pretty much outstanding. It's not like he has to perform at Carnegie Hall to have a chance at harvard. and to those who said he needs a larger quantity pf ec's, you know nothing about ivy league admissions. Op, the truth is, no one here can accurately predict your chances. The key is to let your personality shine in your essays and during your interviews. Don't sweat it though, you DEFINITELY have a shot.

That's what we said. Let the personality shine in your essays and during your interviews. I think after being deferred and getting in regular decision, I think I know how the admissions process works.

I don't even know why people post their stats anymore when all the replies they get are harsh ones from people who just want to put them down. This forum is full of people who get a kick out of demeaning people. It's sick.
But, if you're smart enough, you won't listen to the people who purposefully try to belittle you. You know how much work you put into academics, ECs, tests, etc. for crying out loud! don't let strangers tell you you're what you're worth!
