Alright I know that this question has been asked a hundred times, but please can you chance me. I've been living in US for only 4 years. When I moved here I didn't speak a word in English, but now I'm taking AP English literature and I took AP English language last year. English is my third language. I fluently speak, read, and write in Armenian and Russian. I have a 4.0/4.0 gpa, in top 5%. I go to a large public high school in NYC. 2000+ students. I took AP bio, AP statistics, and AP American history. Now I'm taking AP Macroeconomics, AP calculus bc, and AP chem. My school doesn't offer a lot of AP courses.
Extra curricular. I've been volunteering at a local hospital for the past two years and have 350+ hours of volunteer work. I'm the co-president of BIO-MED house at my school. Member of science research club, environmental club. Math honor society, national honor society, and I'm on the Honor roll and also an AP Scholar. I've done internships at SUNY Downstate, and Mount Sinai School Of Medicine. I'm also a student at Arthur Ashe Science Academy, a program that allows students to take college lever science courses and do dissections. I'm also a member of Student Leadership Program of American Cancer society. Besides all the science stuff, I'm a member of girls varsity soccer team and I paint. In fact, one of my paintings was exhibited in an art museum in Armenia and was printed in a book. I got 1900 on my SAT( I know it's terrible, I'm retaking it). I have a really interesting essay topic, and I'm gonna get awesome recommendation letters. my friend got into Columbia with 1830 SAT score and he's been in the country for 3 years. So do I even have a chance of getting close to harvard doors?

the only thing wrong is the sat score, other than that you are perfect, but fix that SAT

I wouldn’t send that in EA with the 1900, wait til you have a little higher

Yes thank you. I really messed up my math part. If not the critical reading, my math should raise my score. I’m gonna do my best on this sat.

Bump up the SAT score and you’ll be looking good. Of course, that doesn’t guarantee anything, but I will say that your story (moving to the USA from Eastern Europe/Russia (I’m assuming that based on the fact that you speak Armenian and Russian)) embodies the “diversity” that so many schools seek.
