Do I have a shot at The Ivies?

I was wondering if i could have some of your opinions / input as to if i realistically have a strong enough application for Ivy League schools, particularly UPenn and Yale. I’m interested in going into engineering or architecture.

Here are my stats as of now:

Unweighted GPA: 3.8

Weighted GPA: 4.6

Other class info: I’m in the IB program and got a 7 on the only IB exam I have taken thus far.

AP Classes: AP Human Geography, AP World History, AP Psychology, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Calculus AB,
AP Statistics, AP Visual Arts. I got 4s and 5s on all but Physics 1

ACT Composite: 36

Sports: Varsity Track and Field captain with 2 school records and I compete at the state level, Varsity Soccer and played on a club soccer team ranked 3rd in the state and won state cup, Varsity Cross Country.

Other: I have been on my school’s math team and competed in math competitions such as mathcounts. I work as a math tutor. I am very good at art and enter a lot of competitions. I am vice president of IB Club and Chess club and volunteer for Best Friends Animal Society regularly.

Ecs are ok. Academics are good. Did you take any subject tests. Good luck!

Your GPA might be a bit low, but obviously your ACT is top notch.

If you are interested in engineering and–especially–architecture, you might want to consider focusing on Cornell as your Ivy of choice. Those disciplines are two of Cornell’s strong suits; in addition, your chances of admission there would be better than at Yale or Penn.

Thank you! Good advice ?
