I applied to Wes ED1 and got deferred to ED2. i called the admissions rep and she said they were going to be primarily looking at my 1st semester grades from Senior year, but my senior grades arent as good as my junior grades (i got a 3.9 W junior year). Will this shut me out from wes? i am going to send a letter saying how much i want to go to the school and why they should accept me and am going to have my good friend write a peer rec for me. will this help at all? should i do anything else? i was thinking about possibly sending in an analytical essay that i wrote and got an A on from the most respected English teacher in the school-good idea or not? could anyone tell me if i stand a chance with these stats:

ACT: 30
GPA: 3.7W at possibly the hardest HS in the state
Great essay, great recs
EC: pres of environmental club, school play all 4 years, big on art (sent in an art supplement), yearbook Business manager (junior and senior year), political awareness club (only senior year, but was one of the debators for the mock debate in front of the upper school)
Work: worked at Coldstone summer before senior year, and getting a job starting 2nd semester senior year
No diversity, except from the midwest

any info would help...thanks
