The schools I want to apply to:
-Boston College (Carroll School of Management)
-Northwestern University (Kellogg School of Management)
-New York University (Stern)
-Northeastern Univeristy (College of Business Administration)
-Boston University (School of Management)

Do any of you guys think I have a chance at any of these schools?

anyone??
10chars

Yes I think you do. Stern and Kellogg are fantastic programs!

It is difficult to say. While the 3.7 GPA in itself is not bad, your course selection does not appear to be challenging. Your high school ranking and SAT score also appear to be lackluster.

It may seem that NYU has a good transfer acceptance rate, but I have heard that Stern is extremely competitive so that may be a high reach. Northwestern is also a long-shot as its acceptance rate was 8.7%. The only two that I think you have a reasonable chance at are BU and Northeastern. Then again, I am not an expert.

i think so, yes.

Thank you so much everyone. Can anyone else give me some feedback? Especially on Boston College?

bump* Anyone else? I’ll chance back.

Boston College has a low transfer acceptance rate (18%). Your high school record is actually quite poor for most of these colleges. I think you would have a much better chance if apply for junior transfer next year, as you appear to be doing better in university.

I would say 1) no harm in applying, 2) you seem to be doing well, and 3) if you don’t get in someplace you’d be happy at, apply to transfer again.

Kellogg does not have undergrad program. Northwestern does offer a one-year certificate program in collaboration with Kellogg though.
