Hey im new to this site, and i'm just seeking for your advice on what i should do to get into Columbia Engineering Program

My Stat:
SAT - very low, gonna take it again in Oct, now its 2030
App. 400 hrs of community services, including old people house, hospital, Cancer Society, church, etc.
GPA of 93/100 unweighted
Part of school tennis, swimming, and badminton team
Numerous piano awards, both local & provincial
Participant of the 2010 Canadian Math Olympiad, many other math awards

^ I’d say close to about 4,000,000 hours is what the admissions officers are looking for. ;)

As for the OP’s chances: Not very good but not very bad either. Your SAT score is average but your GPA isn’t bad. Best you can do at this point is to write an amazing essay.

the piano awards i mentioned above consist both local and provincial. My most prominant award is probably the runner up, which is the 2nd place, in provincial ORMTA piano competition. It’s a big thing, and for getting 2nd is just one step to go to national.

BTW, I’m also in the provincial tennis team, don’t think i’ve mentioned :)
