I live and California and I'm wondering if I can get into UM.....also is there a chance I can get a good scholarship or good financial aid bc I don't want to pay 45 grand a year when I could pay 20 thousand a year at UCSB or UCSD

yea def. its a match, but why UM when you could get into some great UC system schools?

UM just sounds like an awesome school. It will be the only out-of-state school I apply to and I just want it as another option.

Hey do you know if you can transfer/study abroad there for a year and then return back to your regular school.

Like if I went to UCSB....as a junior could I go to UM for a year and return back to UCSB for my senior year.

don't have a clue, anyways if you tell me what you're looking for in a college I could tell you whether or not UM Would be a good school for you. I live a couple of mins away from the campus and go to high school a few blocks away, so I know alot about it.

Well I want a pretty big school 10,000+ students. I want to go to a school with a great sports program where students have a lot of school spirit. I want a academically recognized school with laid-back students. A great social life is also needed. I want to be close to the beach and live in a city with nice weather (70's and 80's and sunny...... but i also like the rain). I want to be in either a suburban or urban environment. For my major I'm not really sure but I eventually want to become a doctor or maybe an entertainment lawyer. Basically I want a school where I can get a great education in perfect weather, very good athletics and I want to enjoy life.

ok then UM might be perfect...just the weather might not be what you're expecting.
