Do I have a shot?

I was wondering if anyone could give me some comments on whether or not I could get into George-Washington. I think I probably can get in, but I was wondering if anyone thinks that i could get some money. I really don't feel like listing my entire common app, but here are some stats:

GPA: 3.189 (yes, it's very low, but at my school they don't give up a boost for ANY honors or AP classes EVER)
10th grade: sci H, math H, spanish H, english H, history reg
11th grade: sci reg, math H, spanish H, english H, history reg
12th grade: AP bio, AP calculus, AP spanish, english 12, senior focus
(senior focus: similar to a senior thesis program, our school has won awards for it.)

i go to a small private school in new jersey, i have spent my last three summers doing (2004) community service in Costa Rica, (2003) being a camp counselor, (2002) studying at the University of Salamanca in Spain.

Job experience:

Babysitter

It's kinda a reach. I don't think you will get $ for sure, and I think with a 3.1 your chances are slim in general. However, if you go to a fancy smanzy private school that is known to boost people's chances, I think you are in. Otherwise a 3.1(even UW) is pretty low.

yea, it is a "fancy smanzy private school", and like around 8 people of a 100 person class go to GW a year, probably around 12 are accepted. do you really think it's a reach? my college guidance counselor said it was practically a safety.

If your school has a good history with GW, I would say that you are OK. I didn't mean fancy smanzy in a bad way, I just didn't know how to say it otherwise, LOL. Good Luck!

i'm apply to GWU but i'm probably not going to go because its so ****ing expensive and not even worth the education you get there.

ya i think i agree with yattaspoon on that one...
