well, believe it or not i was rejected from bing with 1300 sats and a 91 avg.
got me in at rpi, stevens, nyu, and BU but not at bing lol. so i wouldn't consider anyone with 1100 sats to be a safety.

My son went for EA but just got an on-line note that they want to see his Mid year grades...so I am not sure if he really has a shot. His GPA was a bit lower than needed I guess...he has a solid 88 unweighted and his SAT is 1230 out of 1600.

His 1st marking period as a senior in HS is a 93...and he expects the same second marking period. Still I don't think he will get in. He has excellent recommendations and has a few EC's.

I'll give you a 50-50 chance, but you should start volunteering at certain places. If you get waitlisted, you can send bing all of your newly added EC's and possibly get accepted.

u have a pretty good shot for the harpur school of arts and sciences... i agree with whoever said to push ur SATs over the 1200 mark cause then ur most likely in after that point... however, if you applied to the nursing school/school of management, etc... its a coin toss thats not in ur favor unfortunately because those are very competitive programs to gain admission...

i agree with fpmid07... try to push ur SATs over the 1200 mark cause then ur most likely in with ur gpa/ECs, etc... however if u applied to any special program (nursing, business, etc.) then it will be even harder to gain admission unfortunately because they are very competitive..
