Do I have any chance at Princeton?-good sats, fair gpa, but decent ECs.

I'm legally living in MD,US but I don't have green card and I'm not citizen.
I'm Korean.
Major in either math or physics(which one do you think I have more chance?)

gpa: u3.75-3.85/w4.0-4.2
SAT: cr720 m800 w740
SAT2: math2c790 japanese740 physics 770-800(took yesterday)
AP: Statistics,Physics B(Expecting 5 on both-But Physics can be 4.)
gonna take 3 APs(Cal BC, WH, Physics), 4 Honors(Chinese 3, English, CS 1, Chemistry)

The problem is that I have only one EC-math team.
I got a few prizes in math(4 or 5), but not very big.

gonna do about 30-80 hours of community service in summer.

Probably the recommendations would be not very great. Since I'm not friendly with any teachers.

One thing that can be hook is that I'll write a research paper about math.-Now very brilliant though.

Essays should be great-If I want to get in:).

1.I know these type of question is stupid but do I have a chance at least 10%(If you say less, perhaps I'm not gonna apply.)?
I'm so introvert that I could do no ECs.

2.I did track in 10th grade. Is this help slight a bit or hurt?

You should major in what you want to major in, not in what you think will give you the best chances for admission. Math and physics are two distinct majors.

I know.-Just I cant decide which one to do because I like both very much. So I'm gonna concentrate on both in freshman and sophomore year and then do one major from junior year.
That's why I asked which one is better in admission.

Unless you score perfect scores in the Math 2C, Physics, or Math section of the SAT, I don't see you getting in, quite honestly. Given your race, and given that math/physics will be your major, you need to find something else as a hook. Maybe try Intel, or study hard for AMC?

Perfect scores on SATs won't be enough.

Thanks. I made one mistake.

"Now very brilliant though"->"NOT very brilliant

lol car.

matwiz, you're right, it isn't enough. i think perfect scores, or "very-near" perfect scores on the math/physics sat, for a math major, is a prerequisite.

having perfect scores overall, though, does boost your chances, to around 40% i've heard. that is a substantial push over the regular admit rate of around 11%.
