Do I have any chance at Upenn?

<p>I am a senior in a very competitive school. I have a cumulative gpa of 3.8. My gpa isn't as high is I am capable of (which is shown by my 4.0 gpa over the last 3.5 semesters) do to an illness that was just resolved last year. These are the core courses and EC that I have taken over the year. I want to go to school for pre med (eventually medicine)</p>

<p>If your essay talks about your illness, you have a great shot at getting in. But then again Ivies are reaches.</p>

<p>The essay topic is about something that has impacted your life and I am still in the process of writing it. I don’t want to sound like a sob story but it was something that really affected me and in order to explain why I think I deserve it I have to include it.
