[ *] major strength/weakness: my main problem is my gpa. i'm hoping to get it closer to a 3.7 after this semester.

yeah, my gpa's terrible. and my ec's are pretty weak, too. basketball has sucked countless hours out of my life; sadly, i'm still not good enough to get an athletic scholarship anywhere. thanks in advance!

umich, northwestern, duke.. same placed i'm applying to, that's awesome (i pointed out the arkansas thing in mich)

pretty much, look at my umich and northwestern posts.. duke is a little harder to get into, but there's always a shot no matter where you are.. i think you've got as much of a shot as anyone else applying to duke.. top 10% will help you out a little too

you're top 10% but barely so don't get too excited. anyway trust me duke is not even on the same level as umich and even a tier up from northwestern (doesn't have much to offer imo) when it comes to admissions so don't get your hopes up too high. while a 3.6 is not terrible especially considering your courseload, i'd sure try and get that up some more if possible.
