Sorry, I’m sure people are tired of seeing this kind of a topic and mine is much more hypothetical then most.

I’m only starting my junior year just now, so I haven’t taken SAT’s yet. My problem is that up until this point I’ve been a complete slacker, barely doing any homework and such and through my first two years my gpa is about a 3.0. But I just realized that I actually need to be dedicated to school, I looked on college confidential and in one of the articles it said that you really do want to start doing well in school early if you want to get into a school like Brown, but that also if they see improvement that is also a good thing. Well I did the math and this year the highest gpa I can get is a 4.25, because that is all the possible AP and honors courses I could take as a junior. Now I’m very confident that I can do this: last year I got five A’s and one B on my finals without studying for a single one( the only B i got was in Spanish, which I’ve dropped), plus I helped half of the students in my grade in Biology and Algebra II, and there are people in my grade who get that kind of gpa and I know that I’m far smarter than them. So my question is if I got that kind of gpa this year, and then got around a 4.6 hopefully next year(I should be taking at least 3 AP classes next year), what kind of chance would I have? And also what kind of EC’s would I need? Because right now I don’t really have any besides sports.

So this is what my schedule looks like for the next two years

Junior Year
-Geometry
-trig/pre-Calc
-Chemistry
-AP U.S. History
-English 11 Honors
-Theater Appreciation( For my fine arts credit)
-Study Hall

Senior Year
-AP Biology
-AP Calculus
-AP Literature
-Study Hall
-?( possibly physics but it is a very hard class in my school and my schedule is already pretty tough)
-Western Civ (I go to a private school so a 12th grade Bible class is required)

Teacher Recommendations
- For sure my Biology and AP Biology teacher will give me a very good recommendation( at the end of my last year he told me that I’m a high B student and low A student but the only thing that separates me from the high A students is that I don’t apply myself) and Biology is the class that about 1/3 of everyone who takes it in my school fails it and I was one of the best students at it without any effort

-My AP US History teacher, who was one of the first women to attend Princeton

-My Trig teacher definitely will and so would my geometry, Algebra II and, Chemistry teachers if it would help

-My AP Calculus and possibly my physics teacher will

-English teachers I’m not sure

EC’s
- Unfortunately I think about the only thing I have is sports

Sports
-School Varsity Soccer Team(Captain)
-Club soccer(Age 5-present), team was state runner-ups last year
- Brazilian jujitsu(1 year)

So hopefully after my senior year is over my cumulative gpa will be around a 3.6, but over my last two years I will have a very good gpa.

Thank you if you’ve read all of this, and any help or advice, would be very greatly appreciated.
