Hi! I know that one of the things that many colleges look for in student applications is "leadership" positions. pretty vague... but do you think this shows enough leadership?

Spanish Honor Society -- VP
Future Doctors of America -- President, VP
Environmental Protection Club -- Treasurer

I'm also running for Science Honor Society president this year, but I have no idea whether or not I'll get the position

Any thoughts? :)

“Leadership” does not equal president of various clubs. It just shows that you are popular enough with your peers to get elected. Leadership is when you organize and motivate others to accomplish something that you couldn’t do as successfully (or at all) alone. I would suggest that rather than collecting presidencies as if they were trophies, you focus on one or two clubs and try to do something that shows real interest in and commitment to the mission of the organization, demonstrated creativity and ingenuity, and motivates your peers to join you in that process.
