<p>I'm a junior in high school and I'm not Mrs. Perfect.... at all.
I take AP Science and I'm in 12th grade math (it's not AP though), and I make A's and B's. I'm not the president of any club, clubs just aren't my thing.
I am, however, a very dedicated and passionate student. For me school is about the learning and growing and hasn't ever really been about the grades. I don't even scream smart/science either. When people meet me the suspect "artist"... which is true in a sense. I believe though that the types of skills (focus, creativity, patience etc.) I use for art are the same as those a scientist would use.
I have a few teachers that I know would write me a phenomenal recommendation because I'm a great student.
There's no doubt in my mind that I can take anything they would throw my way. I'm a quick, eager learner. Even when I don't understand things, I have the determination to go until I do.</p>
<p>The reason I'm so in love with MIT is because they have Biomechatronics lab... which is what I want to do!
Looking through their website I know I am the type of person that would do well in that environment, it's just my Academic Record isn't as impressive as I'm sure they would look for in an applicant...</p>
