Do i have to be a bme major to specialize in bme in grad school?

I was wondering if i could do another major in the life science department (other than biomedical engineering) as an undergrad & still be able to go into a grad school for bioengineering.

You can do a master in BME with just about anything science/engineering related. (I know)

I would imagine that you need a undergraduate in BME or EE/ECE to directly enter into a BME PhD program. (I’m guessing)
