Do I have to do what assist.org tells me to do?

So I'm on assist.org and I noticed that the articulation agreement is telling me to take a whole bunch of classes for the Cal State I am applying to. I've decided to pursue a Liberal Arts/Child Development major with a goal of becoming an elementary school teacher. The list of classes I "need to take" is ridiculous considering I've already completed over 60+ units and they're all Biology 101, Physics for everyday use,Lit, Astronomy etc. Put it this way, I've already completed the IGETC except for Statistics which I am in progress of completing right now. I also completed 15 units of Child Development along with the IGETC. Can I just take the classes they put on the articulation once I get to Cal State?

I don't know what to do and my counselor isn't all that bright.

if you’re in the local service area, make an appt at the Cal State and go speak with an admission counselor or the counselor in the major you are considering. If not, do it by phone.

I got admited to cpp with only having precalc (needed linear algebra)…i think its only necessary to complete all prereqs before transfer IF you are applying to an impacted major at cal state…if not then as long as you have 60 units…but make sure and ask a good source
