Hi everyone, I’m a newly admitted transfer to UCLA for Fall 2020 and I’m thrilled but a little confused/anxious about their Report Changes policy.
For context, I dropped a non-essential class in early March after consulting with a counselor that confirmed it wasn’t a major prep course, wouldn’t put me under 60 credits, or hinder my IGETC.
After this, I contacted all UCs I applied to via e-mail/phone about the situation and UCLA specifically told me to just do a Transfer Academic Update and that would suffice, which I did right after in early March.
Fast forward to now, I’ve been accepted and on track to complete my admission contract’s requirements.
The thing that’s worrying me is that the admissions contract states to contact UCLA immediately if I drop any classes.
I definitely dropped the class but it was in early March and I updated my TAU as per their instructions. I checked the courses they have on file for me and my TAU seems to have gone through because the course is shown as “WI” on the portal, along with my in-progress courses that say “IP”.
Everything seems fine and I’m not really sure what I’d report if the change is already in their system, but I’d like to know if any further action needs to be taken on my end. I apologize for the long post and would appreciate any info. Thank you for reading.
