Due to good planning/saving and older brother achieving a full scholarship my parents have the savings to pay for my college (so grateful) - using calculators on various college websites to see what I would be entitled to gives me a big fat ZERO anyway. So - do I need to even fill out a FAFSA? It looks very complex especially as we live overseas (we are US Citizens) but exchange rates muddy the waters. Is there any reason I need to fill it out even though it seems I wouldn’t be entitled to anything.
No. If your parents are comfortable paying in full, you don’t need financial aid and don’t need to apply for financial aid.

It’s not accurate to say that you wouldn’t be entitled to anything. As a U.S. citizen, at the very least completing FAFSA would make you eligible for federal direct loans.

Agree with prior posters, but wanted to add that we are in the same situation, but filled it out anyway. This spring DC received an emergency grant from the CARES act. Free money is always welcome!

There are almost zero reasons not to fill out the fafsa if you can. Taking a few hours out of one day to try and get some free money is always a good idea.
