Do I need to pay back the Cal grants and scholarship rewards if I fail one class

I am a transferred student in UCLA and taking 12 units this quarter. I get both Cal grants and Scholarship. However, I just did very poor in one of my classes, so I changed the grading basis for that class as Pass/No Pass. My questions is that if I cant pass that class and end up with only completing 8 units for this quarter, do I need to pay back all of my grants(Cal grants, scholarship) since I did not complete 12 units as a full time student. I am kind of worried about this now.

Thanks!!!!!

I don't think so. You have to complete a certain percentage of your classes. You might be put on probation. You should read the financial aid web site and talk to a financial aid counselor.

One term one of my kids dropped a class late in the term and went below 12 units, but more than half time. I don't recall which one, but some require 6 units, some require 12, she had a nasty surprise to pay back but it was only $300-400 so only one grant
