Do I need to rush send my SAT/ACT scores?

The Cal Poly deadline is Monday, November 30th and the USC deadline is Wednesday, December 1st. I'm going to send in my SAT and ACT scores in today (November 25th); should I pay the extra to rush send them or does it not make a difference? I'm confused as to whether they want the scores sent by that date or received by that date.

Also quick 2nd question: should I send in both my 1980 SAT and my 31 ACT, or just the ACT since it's "higher"?

I didn’t for the schools with nov. 1st deadline. I sent my scores on the day of the deadline and they got em. But i would like to hear other people’s opinions on the matter.

If you send regular delivery now for any of those schools you will be fine. Scores can arrive after app deadline dates. If SAT and ACT are somewhat close to each other send both, if large variance send ACT; in determining variance make sure you also compare subscores particularly math to math and English ACT (yes, English not reading) to SAT CR. Also be aware that the Cal Poly’s, though they readily accept SAT or ACT, state a preference for the ACT.

For USC:

As the others said, no, you do not need to rush scores. In the meantime, print out an unofficial score report and FAX it to USC with your USC ID# on it, and they will use that until your official scores arrive. Office of Admission Fax Number: (213) 821-0200

Most schools advise you never to rush scores.
