Hi,

I'm applying to college this autumn (as an international homeschooled student); should I submit the Mid-Year Report next year? If so, when? It will definitely advantage me, but I've only started working to a schedule similar to that of the typical high school student recently.

Thanks! ^^

Anyone :)? 10char.

Depends on college. Usually, colleges that make their decisions for admission in March and April want mid-year reports, meaning essentially grades after first semester senior year. Not sure what term that would be equivalent to in your country but they are basically looking for grades that come out in January to early February of your senior year.

On the other hand, a vast number of schools (particularly most of your public universities) base admission decisions upon grades through junior year of high school (in the US that would mean grades coming out next month for applicants to the Fall 2010 freshman college class) and do not want mid-year reports. Many of those have rolling admissions where decisions to admit are made as applications are received. Nevertheless even some of those may require mid-year reports of homeschooled students. In other words, check what particular universities to which you are applying require.
