can i submit those documents after i know if i have been accepted or not?

as soon as they are availabe (i.e. when ur parents finish their tax returns)

but that will be in like april or may :(

My dad called said that taxes will not be done by Feb 15 deadline. The lady got a little puffy and said to have them done ASAP, once we got all of our numbers in order.

She said it does not have to be in by Feb 15 but to not wait to get them done. Once we had all the info in order to have them done immiediately.

Sent my 2005 tax stuff to CMU on Feb 17

I think I know the woman you're talking about. She really needs to change her attitude and I think I'll file a complaint here about her. Anyways, the general advice is to just send it in whenever you can. I sent mine in like way after the deadline and it was still okay.

Acceptance into the college and the FA package are two different things.

However, if CM has only a certain amount of $, and you file your verification of income, assets, after the date CM makes a determination for FA...How much do you think you could get? If your attendence is based on FA, and you do not supply the information for FA, then your calculations need to be adjusted.

SP you have a lot of questions and worry quite a bit. The information you need are all over the web. Follow the Yellow Brick Road (YBR). Deviations are not shortcuts. Try not to antagonize your benefactors. Your lack of willingness to follow the YBR is not a good sign. I also understand many of the factors are beyond your control; However, filing "something" is better than filing "nothing." And "something" can be later changed.

Doing taxes is far easiler than doing writing a term paper. Just answer the questions on the tax program. Many programs are available for a nominal cost.

JMHO.

gl

CMU will match other school's offers if you are a "wanted" applicant though.
