I'm not sure this is where you're supposed to post this since this is my first time here. I was just wondering if I've already taken spanish since the seventh grade until junior year, if I need to continue to do so for Senior year. I would like to drop the class because it was very difficult for me to obtain an A in it last year and want to lessen my load for this year. Does anyone know if colleges care a lot about taking a language every year or if taking a 5th year of Spanish would really benefit my college chances?

Hello. Just so you know, this forum topic is for people who post their stats and extracurricular activities as well as colleges they want to get into for advice and chances to get in. In answer to your question, it really depends where you want to go. Although it may not be absolutely necessary for you to continue with Spanish to get into the college you want, it looks very good that you chose something and stuck with it. Trust me, a little hard work your senior year will go a long way in the rest of your life. Besides, I think that Spanish V is an AP level course, which also makes you look better to colleges who expect to see a rigorous course load. Good luck. Please give me advice as well.

i also think you should take spanish 5 because colleges like people who have taken foreign languages and also if you can take ap spanish, take it. you should also take it because since Spanish will become the second language of the usa it would be easier to get a job and get into college if you know spanish. please help me out on my post:

Unless you get a 5 on the Spanish Language or Literature AP test, they want to see you continue studying the same language.
