Do I need to take the ACT again to get into an Ivy League school?

I am an upcoming senior this year and I have taken the ACT 4 times. The first time, I took it with writting and made a 29 composite and 20 on writing. The second time I did not take writing and made a 30, and then the next one without writing I made a 34. Then I had to take it with my junior class and made a 30 with a 6 out of 12 on writing. When a school requires a writing score, do you have to submit it with the test you took it with? Of course, I want to send the test I made a 34 on, but that doesn’t have a writing score. My questions: should I take it again to improve my score? Do I need to take it again with writing and score a 34 to send that score? Will such a low writing score look bad? The time it took it with my class I was ready to be out of school, and I already had a 34 so I didn’t really put much effort into either part, which I now regret. I would appreciate any insight on this issue. Thanks!

Each school you are applying to will have their own ACT requirements so their website/application will state if an ACT with writing is required or not. If the ACT with writing is required, they will not consider your 34 ACT score.

Rule of thumb is to take the SAT or ACT no more than 3 times unless you should successive improvement.
