<p>I'm planning on going to a community college and later transfering into a state college. I heard that if you are entering a community college you don't need to take the SATs or the ACTs. Is this true? If it is true, would I have to take them when I transfer over to a state college?</p>
<p>Depends on the community college so you need to check although many don't. A different issue: when you go to transfer into junior year, colleges vary on whether they require that you submit a test score, many don't, many do, so it will depend on which college you are transfering to. Moreover, if you try to transfer earlier such as after your first year, most that accept such transfers do require a test score.</p>
