Do I put a "W" on my transfer transcript if I withdrew from a class?

I am currently enrolled as a freshman at Mott Community College, and I plan to transfer to Michigan State this fall. I applied back in January, and the response I got back was that they would like to see my final grades before making a final decision. During this semester, I was struggling to balance all the classes I was taking so I was forced to drop one of my classes. So would I delete that class from my online MSU application, or would I just put a W in place of where the grade is supposed to go? Thank you

You should definitely report a ‘W’ in your application information. Mich State will eventually want to see an official transcript, which will show the ‘W’. If you did not show that grade in your app info, it might be an indication that you were trying to hide something, which could go a lot worse for you than the implications of a ‘W’ grade.

If you don’t have other 'W’s, then I wouldn’t worry too much about it. On the other hand, if you have several ‘W’ grades, then admissions staff may not like to see that.
