My main concern is that i did bad freshmen year with a couple C's and Bs. By Junior year I got all A's.Will my music and work balance it out and give me a chance at UCs and some top University. I hope i am not out the running because i have a couple c's on my transcript.

I don't think you're out of the running. As you said, your grades show improvement which is what colleges look for. And your ECs look pretty good. If you can pound out some nice essays and get some sweet recs, I'd say you'll be just fine. But im not on an adcom... nor have i gone through 'the process' yet. Anyway, I wouldnt worry too much. Maybe talk to ur GC when u get back into school (assuming it's still ur summer vaca) if it really does bother you. I think freshman year is excusable bc it's like youre getting used to the highschool experience. But take my advice with a grain of salt, and wait for someone who's gotten into college to tell you what to do. I'm just getting ready to apply now.

Thanks for the advice. I had a tough time freshmen year, my brother was hit by a car, but i eventually got my act together. How much do you think the music stuff will help. Would it be a hook, or just a good EC.

bump.......
