<p>I am in my 1st semester of sophomore year, and I am doing pretty bad. My grades are pretty much 2 Bs 2 Cs 2 Fs (failed in art and robotics). In my freshman year I also did pretty bad I had a few Ds and I made up my F in Honor Biology. My dream school is UCLA which... I am not really sure if I can qualify anymore. Yes, I know how important sophomore year is and all but is there at least some chance of still getting accepted to UCLA if I get straight As (until my senior year) and a good SAT score ( around the 2100s )? Also... I am asian which pretty much makes this situation worse D: Please tell me what I can still do in order to get into UCLA!</p>
<p>May I suggest you remove the pressure of the type of college you’ll attend and rather have a serious sit down w/your guid counselor to see how you can turn around your current situation? You’re looking at something three years from now when you should be focusing your attn on WHY you’re getting Ds and Fs – following the similar path you did as a Freshman. Given that you have less than three semesters of HS under your belt and you are struggling mightily, it seems some reassessment on your studying skills /attendance/life situation/priorities/learning disabilitites, etc. might be in order.
