Do international Students and U.S. applicants get decisions in different pools

anyone plz.............. i really need to know lol

I'm from the U.S., but a lot of international students are INSANELY competitive. Will they be differentiated in a different pool since they are interanational. I'm hoping they are because their applications make most U.S. applicants look inferior. Anyone Know?

The arrogance you demonstrate here is pretty unbelievable.

lol sorry im just a new CC'er. BTW it wouldn't make me arrogant, but ignorant lol. LMAO

It's arrogant and condescending. Ignorant would be asking a question. Arrogant is making an affirmative statement such as this one.

see this is why we love Columbia2002 on here. he's essentially the anti-dbag of the columbia section of cc.

Your application first gets read by a Columbia admissions officer in charge of your region. My guess is that they each share their findings to create a balanced class?

TheOP is an American who believes internationals make people like him seem inferior. I would think he's rather insecure than arrogant.

When they've narrowed down who they want to accept, after the regional officer reviews your application, you'll be competing with international students.

They might even take your scholarships.

No. They are in different pools from the beginning to the end of the reviewing process.

"No. They are in different pools from the beginning to the end of the reviewing process."

what makes you say this?

what about canadian and mexican apps?

I am a high need canadian applicant

I think Columbia is need-blind to Canadian applicants.
