Do Ivy league and top tier american university look at freshman year if I'm doing IGCSE and A level?

So basically, I’m an international student wanting to study at a ivy league or top tier American school. I’m doing my IGCSE’s in 8 months and I’m planning on doing A levels later. But, now I’m working hard on getting all A’s in my igcse. BUT, i got bad grades during freshman year. So, I’m concerned if they would look into that or my final IGCSE grade. I know standardized testing matters more but, im concerned if this will lower my chances. I’m very stressed someone help pls.

P.S I didn’t do my IGCSE’s yet. I got bad grades during freshman year and we do igcse on sophomore year.

If the school looks at freshman grades, and most do, they will look at your freshman grades as well. There is no pass given for international students. Of course, an upward trend in grades may help. And your IGSCE results will be given more weight.

IGCSE results as well as A Level results are given MUCH more weight.
