What if you didn't take the writing portion of the ACT the first time and decided to take it the second time? Will the best composite score be taken along with the writing score you received on the second test. I'm just worried that my second composite score won't be as good as the first composite score.

As I have mentioned before, we are going to look at all the scores you submit for the ACT. Since you did not take the writing portion the first time you took the ACT, you will need to submit the scores from your second sitting which will include the writing section. We would suggest submitting your first time scores though because if the composite is higher we will consider that in the admissions review.

Do most students at JHU take the SAT and ACT? what percentage take only the ACT ONLY in lieu of SAT?

Dont count SAT subject tests..
