I'm debating on either minoring in Spanish or in Economics, and I'm a finance major. When you have a minor, are there additional lower division prereqs required, just as there are major prereqs? If so, a minor in economics makes a lot sense, since I will have completed all the lower division classes anyway because of my major.

And if there is minor prereqs, what are they for a foreign language minor? I will have completed Spanish 103 before I transfer. Will that satisfy the prereq for the minor?

It's entirely dependent upon the school and the subject, but the majority of minors require specific lower division coursework. The only thing is, though, the CCC course equivalents for these lower division classes aren't well published. You'll have to look at each departments site to find which lower division classes are required for the minor, and then use assist.org to find the equivalent. It might help, though, that the lower division requirements for the minor probably overlap with the lower division requirements for the major.
