<p>The Stanford website says that your Common app ID needs to be on every document you submit to Stanford. I didn't write it on anything that I or my teachers mailed in. What do I do?</p>
<p>You could call the office in a week or so (maybe more) and ask. There’s nothing much you could do now, right?</p>
<p>Yeah I didn’t either. Nor did I use the mailing labels - my guidance office sent them out before I knew about them.</p>

<p>I just uploaded the essay without the ID number because it is all packaged as one file, so the ID number will appear on the application as a whole.</p>
<p>Chances are that they’ll still get into the system; they may just be a little delayed. As the other poster said, they’ll let you know in February if they’re missing anything.</p>
