Do people in college pick on each other like they do in High School?

OMG. Cherry…hahahaha

essceejay216 - If you think that was entertaining, you should read her other posts. lol

I don’t think I ever heard a young person express that type of attitude about nudity as is seen in artistic expression or real life. I guess the world would be a boring place without varying opinions.

I’m kind of confused about the point of Cherry’s post…surely she doesn’t think her views are or should be held by everyone…I don’t even know what to say. It seems too weird and out there to be a ■■■■■ post, but I guess anything’s possible.

Cherry31416 sure is an interesting poster.

HAHAHAHAAHA cherry. Grow up. Thanks for the laugh before I go to sleep ;)

um, ok cherry… whatever you say…

Cherry31416(Pi)… she has a cherry in her pie! lololol it all makes sense

Maybe Cherry grew up in an extremely strict Christian household where nudity is seen as taboo and she was strongly influenced by what her parents taught her. That’s the only explanation I can think of for someone to think nudity in art is bad.

Most famous Christian art involves nudity.

[Christian Art](http://i.imgur.com/wEeUZ.jpg)

Note the word “most;” note that it is not a synonym for “all.”

Anyone who is a geek in HS is like the most popular in college cause its cool to be diferent in college and be smart. The problem you have is you cant let any of your girlfriends see you with any of your other girlfriends so you have to be careful.

Cherry’s beliefs are no more myopic than many people’s belief in the bible (and in fact I would say they are probably less so). And I don’t think we understand the situation very well - smart people like cherry are generally forced into religion or whatever surprisingly irrational views they might end up having when they grow up. They are forced into them because the views are inculcated in them when they are very young, which makes them incredibly hard to let go of of. Also in Cherry’s case there seem to be other compounding factors (like the fact that she seems to have been rather isolated).

Her post is rather off topic though, or at any rate not what the OP was probably looking for.

Exactly. Not all Christian art involves nudity. I assumed that was the point you were trying to make when you used “most” instead of “all.”

no, haha if so, one doesn’t need to be in college.

@ sopranokitty: Yes I did, and still am. Catholic school K-12 (actually Pre-K-12). And “shock and awe” after the Church’s sex scandal. Destined to associate nudity/sex with evil and torture, and purity with peace. I’m normally a proud celibate ascetic, but when in situations like the one I described, I sometimes think of myself as “Stone Cold Jane Austen.” ^_^

@ RoxSox: LOL I’m not a ■■■■■ (no relation to Duckie Harper) :-D

@ sweetlacecharm: I don’t think people in Asia who disrobe before entering a bath or hot spring are “whores,” but I’ve read that Eastern culture is quite fond of the “lolicon” concept and youth-centric prostitution (what most people in the States might call “kiddie porn”). Also, I don’t know how sanitary (bacteria-wise) those spas are where bathing with strangers is the norm, but I also know I don’t want to find out… :-</p>
