I am wondering if, when you tell people you go (or hope to go) to USC they think University of South Carolina.

NEVER- in CA.

I get it all the time, but that's because I'm from South Carolina. I often get asked why my South Carolina t-shirt has the wrong colors.

What, you watched "Borat" and are now worried? :D

South Caro--what?

Fight on!

haha i live in louisiana, and i was wearing my usc tshirt in this tiny little country town, eating a bagel at starbucks. this random guy in his 50s sees my shirt from across the parking lot and screams "USC baby, beautiful thing! FIGHT ON!!" that decided it for me =)

When I told people at my work place(virtual), people are from all over the US, they joking teased me if I meant University of Southern Carolina. So of course people do know.

ya.. someone asked me where i might be going next year and they said, "south carolina?" and i had to shake me head...

from michigan!

USC is the real USC... they have usc.edu.

Also, a google search of University of Southern Carolina brings up usc.edu as the third hit...

I am surprised by how many people make that mistake, but I think they must live under rocks.

living in california, didnt even know that so cal (oh look, my abbreviation for south carolina is so cal, which in ca = southern california :-) existed

until about a month ago when searching facebook groups

9/10 of them refer to the real usc
