hi! im an international student, and i think i can get letters of rec's from very important people from my country. do u think it will help me to get into any college??

bump bump bump

It really depends on how reconized he/she is and how much does the letter actually have to do with both you and the recommender in the process of admissions.

it also matters a whole lot if they actually know you and can convey that in the letters. in the US at least, ive been told by admissions people that a letter from a senator won't help unless you personally know that senator somehow i.e. they dont want a general form letter based on your resume.

thanks alot for your opinions.
