I will be starting at Berkeley in the fall as a Regents Scholar. I remember hearing something about Regents Scholars getting preference in choosing classes, like they had an earlier Phase II Telebears appointment than everybody else or something. Is this true or just wishful thinking? Thanks.

Wishful thinking (my Telebears time is a few hours after my non-Regents' friend). Berkeley's Regents' Scholarship is probably the worst of all the Regent's Scholarships, but hey, it's better than nothing.

Regents scholars really don't get to pick classes first.

The first people to pick are part of the Disabled Students Program (DSP) for accessibility issues and athletes to plan around practice.

And yes, Cal's Regent's Scholarships are the UC's worst IMO.

Yeah, it wasn't enough to convince me to attend cal as a Chemical Biology major in the College of Chemistry.
