Our FAFSA was submitted/processed in mid-January but I just noticed that the school's financial aid website states it was "received" almost a month later. Can a school choose when to accept this information, so that no one gets any actual priority by submitting early? I thought it was odd and wonder if it's going to affect financial aid received now. I hadn't noticed such a time discrepancy in past years at this school. Just curious, thanks.

We were at a college presentation in late January and what I understood was that the schools got FAFSA downloads in batches. This school said the first batch would come in Feb.

The schools upload on their timeline. Your FAFSA date of submission is still the date YOU submitted…not the date they upload.
