<p>How quick is the process from when FAFSA is processed to when the govt sends it to student's chosen schools? </p>
<p>Then, how long, on average, does the school take to process and create a financial aid package to send to the student?</p>
<p>The FAFSA is accessed by the schools themselves (i.e. they have to download the info from the FAFSA website); the government doesn't "send it to the schools".</p>
<p>I found some schools won't be ready to access the FAFSA information until later in January.</p>
<p>FA packages usually come out about the same time as the admissions decision or soon after. You should check with the individual schools and see when the decision is expected to come out.</p>

<p>The admission decision for all the schools I applied to comes out in early April.
Looks like I'll be waiting patiently with anxiety until then.</p>
