I was looking through Bentley’s application, and it said that I must send in my 1st quarter, and 1st semester senior grades in right after I get them. Can a good 1st semester senior year, help much?

bump bump bump

Yes, your senior grades definitley impact whether or not you will be admitted. Schools want to see that you are continuing on an upward trend and that you are taking the most rigerous courses your school offers and are doing well. It is not unusual for a school to request your first quarter report or mid year grades .

I agree with sybbie. If you are an auto-deny or an auto-accept, it obviously won't matter. If you are borderline, they will wait for the mid-year senior grades to make their decision. Different colleges handle mid-year reports differently. Some will not make a decision on hardly anyone until they arrive. Some will only look at the them if they have some question about whether or not to accept. The mid-year grades come in the mail and they have to be opened and sorted and the adcoms are very busy at that time of year.

For rolling admissions. Wouldn't I be better off and just wait? Granted I have a good senior year.

Colleges with Rolling Admissions fill up after a while. It may get harder to get accepted as time goes on.

The good thing about applying to a school with rolling admissions is that you can have one in the bag even before you apply to the other schools.
