Do students gain acceptance into good medical schools?

Do Stony Brook students gain acceptance into good medical schools, such as ivy league? Is it possible to get into good medical schools because from what I see the only realistic med schools are Sunys.

Where you go to undergrad has almost no effect on going to med school. Just do well. A girl from my previous college which was very poor in almost everything got into Yale Med School.

What are some med schools that Stony students have been accepted into?

im wondering the same thing

I mean the university seems to feel confident that their students get into great schools. They even gave out lists to show that their students have gotten into schools like Columbia, Johns Hopkins, Harvard. Even though I do not dispute those facts, it justs seems to me that this info could be outdated or only one persons gets into a great med school each year. If so, then those stats really are not impressive at all.

how is stony brook med school? isnt that pretty good?

But there are of course better ones and I do not want ot stay in Long Island for the rest of my life. I want to go to a med school in the city.

hi
i have a q,does it matter where did u finish undergrad when it comes to applying for med school?i heard limited amount of people get accepted to med school anyway and i heard a person who got 30 on the mcats and 3.9 on his/her's science gpa and still didn't get accepted to a med school.can u get accepted into med school if u have great internship and service experience and essay ?

the undergrad college really has nothing to do with med school acceptance. most med schools rely on the mcat. the average mcat score of accepted students is 31.... the average gpa is 3.6 or 3.7.... you just need to do well on your mcat, have a good gpa [esp science gpa] and have good ecs/lors/essays....

izzy excellent point go to a gravy school and get that GPA up high and then study for MCAT

Everyone knows all Stonybrook pre-meds go to Princeton Medical School.
LOL.

Your funny fmcloud007. Keep dreaming.

oh,no,they go to harvard and johns hopkins medical school instead of princeton.
