Do students keep their merit scholarships during all 4 years?

How difficult is it for Trinity University students to hold on to their merit scholarships during their 4 years of undergraduate studies?
Some schools have a reputation for handing out merit aid to most incoming freshmen yet make it close to impossible for students to maintain a high enough GPA to hold on to the scholarship during all 4 years.

How does Trinity score?

Doesn’t look very difficult.

“Scholarships are renewable for up to eight semesters of undergraduate study provided the student maintains at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA, enrolls in full-time hours each semester and meets satisfactory academic progress.”

Yep, 2.5 GPA required.

I told my S that if he didn’t get at least a 2.5, he was going to lose ALL his “scholarships”, including from us!

Haha. Same here @ColdinMinny!

My daughter just completeed her first semester. It is a 2.5 to keep most the scholarships. Also for do not take it away if freshman struggle there firsr semester. They actually do not look at the gpa for renewal of the scholership till the second semester the freshman year. The gpa tolls from there.

The university also has a lot of free services in the library to help them succeed.
